Cancer Care: New Accelerator Technologies for Radiotherapy and Radioisotope Production

Dear Colleagues

Cancer Care: New Accelerator Technologies for Radiotherapy and Radioisotope Production

The STFC Futures Programme and the Department of Health are holding a joint workshop on accelerators in cancer research. The purpose of this workshop is to bring together the cancer community and the research community funded by STFC in areas where there is significant potential for STFC to contribute, and begin the formation of collaborative research partnerships.

During the workshop the STFC will describe its plans for enabling researchers from the two different communities to engage and develop collaborative projects.

The workshop will be held over two days, 5-6 December 2012 at the University of Manchester, with a working dinner held during the evening of the first day.
The number of participants will be limited to 100 and we aim to achieve a balance between the cancer community and the research community. Please reserve the dates in your diary, a link to a registration site will be issued shortly.
Please feel free to forward this announcement to any of your colleagues who may be interested in attending.
