IAU General Assembly (Beijing, 2012) – Solar Program
Dear colleague,
we’d like to draw your attention to the next General Assembly of the International Astronomical Union, taking place in Beijing, China on 20-31 August, 2012 (http://www.astronomy2012.org).
Four meetings that bear strong relevance to Solar Physics will take place during the General Assembly, as detailed below. This is the first time that so numerous events related to Solar science occur in a single GA. Further, within the current schedule these events have limited temporal overlap, allowing participants to attend more than one of them during the duration of the GA, as well as the usual host of complementary activities provided by the IAU.
Deadline for abstract submission and IAU travel grants request is Feb 29, 2012. Further details will be provided in the webpages of the various meetings, which are being developed.
Best regards,
A. Kosovichev, L. van Driel Gesztelyi, G. Cauzzi, J.L. Bougeret
