United Kingdom Square Kilometre Array Science Committee Town Hall meeting 2 March 2021

January 28, 2021, from Steve Brygan

We are pleased to announce the next UK-SKASC (United Kingdom Square Kilometre Array Science Committee) Town Hall meeting will be held via Zoom and wonder.me at 1:30pm – 5:00pm on Tuesday 2nd March 2021.

The meeting will aim to bring the UK astronomical community together to provide information on the current status of the SKA project and to discuss how scientists at all career stages can become more involved. It will also provide a platform for the community to discuss how best to maximise the long-term science return of the SKA to the UK through the challenges of SKA Phase 1 and 2.

A key aspiration of future UK-SKASC activities is to engage as widely as possible with early career researchers (ECRs) in the UK who are involved in SKA-related science. With this in mind, the meeting will also provide a platform for all to share progress on existing science projects, new scientific results and future science plans in SKA-related science areas, especially those spearheaded by ECRs. Engagement in this meeting will be facilitated in large part by representation from many of the SKA’s Science Working Groups.

Registration is available at https://ska.astro.ljmu.ac.uk/?page_id=40. There is no registration fee.
