The call for STFC’s Knowledge Exchange Schemes (Innovations Partnership Scheme and Follow-on fund) opens 20th July

Dear Colleagues,

The call for STFC’s Knowledge Exchange Schemes (Innovations Partnership Scheme and Follow-on fund) opens 20th July – the deadline for submission is 5th October 2021 at 4pm.

These schemes are designed to help STFC academics develop new innovation opportunities from their research. Please note, for this KE call we have implemented some new changes; the IPS call has new submission requirements and excitingly we have increased the level of FOF funding and the length of the grant.

• IPS – Enables the translation of STFC funded research into a commercial setting. All IPS projects must partner with an industrial collaborator who are contributing towards the project in some capacity.
New for this IPS call – We will trial a new case for support structure, specifically designed by UKRI to encourage applicants when developing their ideas

• Follow-on fund – Follow-on fund is designed to fund a short term proof-f concept project, which could lead on to further commercial opportunities.
New for this FoF call, these grants are now available for £200k fEC and 18 months.

If you would like to discuss a project, or would like more information please visit the webpage or contact either Wendy Carr or Ed Mansfield.

Best regards

Dr Ed Mansfield – External Innovations Programme Manager
