A postdoc position is available in the field of fundamental physics studies, numerical modeling, and data analysis of the dynamo processes in the Sun, in collaboration with Prof Friedrich Busse (IGPP/Univ. Bayreuth), Alexander Kosovichev (Stanford Solar Group) and Axel Brandenburg (NORDITA Astrophysical Dynamo Group). Experience with fluid dynamics, MHD, and numerical simulations is expected. A Ph. D. in Physics, Solar Physics, Fluid Dynamics, Plasma Physics, Astrophysics or related disciplines is required. The position is initially for one year, but may be renewed for up to three years contingent upon performance and funding.
