Research Associate
The post-holder will undertake research into the transport in the Sun and other stars with Dr Eun-Jin Kim in Solar Physics and Space Plasma Research Centre (SP2RC), Department of Applied Mathematics, University of Sheffield. The post holder will emphasise leadership of research into MHD turbulence, dynamo theory, magnetic reconnection, momentum transport, and nonlinear dynamics.
Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent (or equivalent experience) and demonstrable experience of research in solar physics, MHD, turbulence, astrophysics or a related field. The post-holder will possess excellent theoretical and/or a high standard of computational MHD skills, and knowledge of IDL is desirable.
This post is fixed-term with an immediate start date and an end date of 30th
