University of Sydney – Postdoctoral Research Associate in Modelling Magnetic Fields in Solar Flares

We are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate for projects focused on modelling magnetic fields in solar flares.  This will involve data analysis and computation to construct numerical models for the solar coronal magnetic field before and after solar flares, based on solar data. Essential criteria include a PhD in physics or equivalent in a relevant field, excellent computational skills including the ability to write codes, in Fortran and other languages, skills in data analysis and visualization of data, and proven research ability.
