The International Max Planck Research School for Solar System Science at the University of Goettingen (”Solar System School”) offers a research-oriented doctoral program covering the physical aspects of Solar system science. It is jointly run by the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research (MPS) and the University of Goettingen. The department ”Sun and Heliosphere” led by Sami K. Solanki is offering a PhD position within the Solar System School in the field of solar physics, comprising solar magnetic fields including dynamo processes, solar variability and climate, and physics of the photosphere, chromosphere, transition region, and corona.
The position is fully funded for three years.
