CTA-UK Science Meeting – second announcement

CTA UK Science Meeting – second announcement

We are just under six weeks away from the CTA-UK Science Meeting to be held virtually on the 24th and 25th June 2021.

The meeting programme is now available at http://cta2021.iopconfs.org/home. There is an array of exciting speakers covering the Cherenkov Telescope Array’s capabilities and its Key Science Projects, and there will be time at the end of the meeting to discuss how UK scientists can increase their involvement in the Key Science Projects.

Talks cover several aspects of CTA science including dark matter, beyond the Standard Model physics, gamma-ray bursts, active galactic nuclei, radio galaxies, pulsars, binary systems, and the ISM, including scientific synergies with radio, gravitational wave, and neutrino observatories.

There will be two virtual poster sessions at the meeting, and students in particular are encouraged to submit posters – the deadline for abstract submission is May 31st 2021. There are prizes of £200, £100 and £50 for the best posters at the meeting.

To register for the meeting, please go to http://cta2021.iopconfs.org/home . The registration deadline is June 18th 2021.

Thanks to the support of STFC and the Institute of Physics, there is no registration fee for this meeting.
