First announcement for the 17th International Solar Wind Conference – 14-19 June 2026, Bath, UK

Dear Colleagues,

This is the first announcement for the 17th International Solar Wind Conference. It will take place 14-19 June 2026 in the historic city of Bath (UK).

The triennial Solar Wind Conference covers all aspects of solar wind and heliospheric physics, focussing on current research as well as future directions. The deadline for early-bird registration will be around mid-April 2026, and the deadline for abstract submission will be around mid-May 2026. More specific dates will be confirmed later, but you may wish to save the date in the meantime.

The City of Bath was founded by the Romans as a thermal spa. In Georgian times, it developed into an elegant city with neoclassical architecture whilst retaining its spa tradition. The conference venue is in the city centre with walkable distances (up to a few hundred metres) to various hotels as well as to the city’s main attractions.

Other attractions beyond the city include Stonehenge, the Somerset countryside, Avebury, Castle Combe, Longleat Safari Park, and the Cotswolds. All of these are easily accessible with public transportation.

The City has easy connections (coach and rail) to/from London’s large international airports (Heathrow and Gatwick). The Bristol International Airport is the closest.

We look forward to seeing you at Solar Wind 17 in Bath!
