UKSKASC (UK SKA Science Committee) Online Town Hall Meeting – Tuesday 19th July 2022 10:00am – 13:00pm

We are pleased to announce that the UKSKASC (UK SKA Science Committee) will be hosting an on-line Town Hall meeting on Tuesday 19th July  (10:00-13:00).

The meeting aims to bring the UK SKA community together to provide information on the current status of the SRC (SKA Regional Centres) Open Call and associated activities that will deliver the UKSRC Strategy which can be found here https://www.ucl.ac.uk/advanced-research-computing/community/delivering-uk-ska-regional-centre-strategy

SKA Regional Centres (SRCs) are required in order to provide the main portal for scientists to access the SKA including provision of computing resources and support. This will enable the science community to analyse and extract science from data products produced by the SKA.

The meeting will also provide an opportunity for the community to provide their final thoughts and feedback on the current UKSRC bid.

The UK SKA Regional Centre Open Call has been created to enable the greatest possible return to the UK from its investment in the SKA, both scientific and within the data science technical work. Further details of the call can be found at https://www.ukri.org/opportunity/uk-square-kilometre-array-ska-regional-centre-2022/

Additional information will be released nearer the time, but registration is now open at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/uk-ska-science-committee-town-hall-tickets-349627544397
