Dear Colleagues,

During NAM2022, UKSP offered two poster prizes to early career researchers (PhD students and postdoctoral researchers within 5 years of their PhD, allowing for career breaks) for the best solar and heliospheric posters.

We are pleased to announce that the winning posters are:

Bradley Ramsey (Aberystwyth) – “Automated methods for detecting, tracking and characterising bright points in multi-instrument solar imagery”

Oliver Rice (Durham) – “Eruptivity Criteria for Two-dimensional Magnetic Flux Ropes in the Solar Corona”

Congratulations Bradley and Oliver!

Each prize is kindly funded by the Royal Astronomical Society (RAS). The prizes consist of £50 and each winner will have an opportunity to write an article in A&G magazine (RAS).

Finally, thanks to everyone involved in the judging and to everyone that entered their poster into the competition.
