Winners and runners-up of the three UKSP Prizes at NAM 2023

We are thrilled to announce the winners and the runners-up of the three UKSP Prizes at NAM 2023! Congratulations to all!

UKSP ECR Talk Prizes:

Adam Finley (CEA Paris-Saclay) has been chosen as the winner of the UKSP ECR Talk Prize at NAM 2023.

The title of the talk is “Revisiting the long-term evolution of the Sun’s magnetic field: Solar wind sources and coronal rotation”.

The prize is kindly awarded by the RAS (this is a £50 prize and an opportunity to write an article about your work in A&G magazine).

UKSP ECR Poster Prizes:

Seray Sahin (Northumbria University) has been chosen as the winner of the UKSP ECR Poster Prize at NAM 2023.

The title of the poster is “Comparison of Quiescent and Flare-driven Coronal Rain”.

The prize is kindly awarded by the RAS (this is a £50 prize and an opportunity to write an article about your work in A&G magazine).

UKSP special prize

Oliver Rice (Durham University) received the UKSP special prize. The prize is awarded for producing excellent solar posters at NAM over the last two years. This prize is an invited oral presentation at the UKSP Early Career Researcher (ECR) Workshop 2024 and/or UKSP NAM sessions in 2024.

The title of the poster is “Eruptivity Criteria of Magnetic Flux Ropes in the Solar Corona”.
