The MHD group at Durham are soliciting interest from students looking to do a PhD in solar physics and/or MHD to start Oct. 2023.

The group comprises of:

Our interests include understanding the triggering mechanisms of Coronal Mass Ejections and flares, the origins of the solar wind, solar convection, the Sun’s magnetic dynamo, magnetic reconnection and magnetic helicity. For more details see our respective webpages found here:
