Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Coronal Heating, Solar and Magnetospheric Theory Group at the University of St Andrews

The Solar and Magnetospheric Theory Group in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of St Andrews, has an opening for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to work on a project in coronal heating with Profs Ineke De Moortel (Project Lead) and Alan Hood. This position is funded by an STFC Consolidated Grant (PI: Prof Thomas Neukirch). Applicants should have completed or expect to obtain shortly a PhD in either solar theory or a closely related subject. Research experience in coronal heating would be advantageous.

The position is fixed term with an end date of 31 March 2025. The start date will be 1 November 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter.
