STFC Advanced Summer School in Solar Physics 2014 – Registration Open, Apply Now for Sponsored Places

The STFC Advanced Summer School in Solar Physics is a course of specialised lectures in advanced topics in solar physics, intended for PhD students entering their second or third years and early-stage postdocs from the UK and the rest of Europe. It also provides hands-on training, complementary skills sessions, and a discussion on career planning. In 2014, the school will be hosted by the Division of Mathematics at the University of Dundee, from Sunday 31st August to Friday 5th September.

STFC provides sponsorship for 20 funded places, which will be allocated to STFC-funded students and self-supporting students (with STFC-funded students having priority) on a first-come, first-serve basis. This sponsorship covers registration, accommodation and meals. Sponsored students will also be able to claim their travel costs from STFC. Register now to secure your place!

For those who are not eligible for STFC sponsorship (or when the 20 sponsored places have been filled) the full registration fee is £500, or £250 without accommodation.
