NorthWest Research Associates (Boulder, CO office) has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral researcher in solar physics. This position is to develop and apply numerical wave propagation methods in order to predict and understand helioseismic travel time shifts resulting from prescribed magnetic regions and flows in the solar interior. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in a relevant field, such as physics, astrophysics or applied mathematics. Experience in MHD modeling and numerical simulations is strongly preferred. NWRA is a small company with research activities including solar physics, oceanography, and upper atmospheric research (www.nwra.com).
