Hi all,

There is a petition going around as part of a UCU campaign in an attempt to pressure UKRI to raise PGR funding in line with inflation. If nothing changes PGRs are facing a huge real-terms pay cut. The stipend was already laughably low pre-covid. I would not be surprised if in addition to an exodus of staff from academia, it is soon followed by increased difficulty in recruiting PhD students.
