F-CHROMA Training Workshop – application deadline 26th September 2016

Dear All,

We would like to announce the F-CHROMA Training Workshop entitled: “Observations and modelling of solar flares”, which will be held between October 31 and November 4, 2016 in Wroclaw (Poland). The University of Wroclaw will host this Training Workshop which is intended mainly for PhD students and young researchers, to educate them on flare observations,
data analysis, diagnostics and the use of the main modelling codes.

The registration for this workshop is opened now. Please visit:
http://school2016.astro.uni.wroc.pl/ to register. The DEADLINE for registration and requests for financial support is September 26th, 2016. Selected candidates will be informed by September 30th, 2016.

The workshop is organized by the F-CHROMA consortium and the lectures
and hands on sessions will be carried out by experienced scientists. We will be able to offer full or partial financial support for accepted participants, depending on numbers.

F-CHROMA is an European collaborative project led by the University of
Glasgow (UK), involving seven European research Institutes and Universities.
The goal of F-CHROMA is to substantially advance our understanding of the
physics of energy dissipation and radiation in the flaring solar atmosphere,
with a particular focus on the flares’ chromosphere. Additional information
about the project can be found at http://www.fchroma.org/ and at
http://fchroma.astro.uni.wroc.pl/.

For any further queries please email: berlicki@astro.uni.wroc.pl
We encourage all young scientists to participate.

Best regards,
The F-CHROMA Team.
