Research Fellow in Solar Physics at Queen’s University Belfast

This post is available for 18 months to undertake research in the physics of the solar atmosphere within the Astrophysics Research Centre of the School of Mathematics and Physics. The Solar Physics Group within ARC is part of the FP7 F-CHROMA (Flare Chromospheres: Observations, Models and Archives) Consortium, which has been funded to undertake a focused, multi-wavelength study of solar flares. The successful candidate, based within ARC, will work in collaboration with other Consortium members on the analysis and interpretation of high spatial and temporal resolution solar flare observations, and the development of a flare catalogue and model archive. He/she will be responsible for contributing to project deliverables in a timely fashion.
