The Rosseland Centre for Solar Physics (RoCS) is pleased to announce the RoCS / MUSE / IRIS (RoCMI) workshop to be held in the polar destination of Svalbard, Norway, from Feb 27 to Mar 2, 2023. The topic of the workshop is “Confronting numerical models of the solar chromosphere and corona with high resolution observations.” It will be focused on a critical comparison between high-resolution observations and numerical models and how to increase the realism of models with an eye towards future missions such as MUSE and EUVST.
The workshop will be in person and set in a unique location with extreme geography and climate, only 1300 km from the North Pole. Given the logistical challenges and limited number of hotel rooms, only participants with abstracts selected by the SOC will be invited to register.
More information can be found in the workshop webpage, https://rocmi.no. Abstract submission is now open, and interested participants are welcome to apply for registration.
